Caravan since 1970, motorhome or RV since 1999 then back to a caravan in 2017.
I have been offered a time limited special price (full details below).

My question is about the polish as there are 2 options:

• Clay bar exterior panels to remove fallout and apply hand polish with up to 12 months protection. £50 per vehicle.

• Apply hand polish with up to 12 months protection to exterior panels without clay bar contaminant removal £30 per vehicle.

What are the benefits of the clay bar treatment and is it worth the extra £20? - I could ask the contractor but would welcome your opinions.

TIA

We normally have a surcharge for larger SUVs but we would do both of yours for the special price of £45 per car, this would get the following:

• Mats removed and hoovered.
• Seats and carpets hoovered.
• Dash, centre console and door trims wiped down and dressed.
• Glass cleaned.
• Wheels, barrels and tyres cleaned.
• Pre-wash and snowfoam.
• Hand wash (2 bucket method).
• Hydrophobic spray sealant.
• Towel/Blower dried.
• Tyres and exterior plastics dressed.

If you wanted the hand polish there are 2 options:

• Clay bar exterior panels to remove fallout and apply hand polish with up to 12 months protection. £50 per vehicle.

• Apply hand polish with up to 12 months protection to exterior panels without clay bar contaminant removal £30 per vehicle.

We also offer the following on this package as extras (prices per vehicle):

• Deep clean windscreen and apply Hydrophobic treatment with up to 12 months protection £10 when booked with an exterior wash package.
• Hydrophobic window cleaner applied to car windows giving up to 2 months protection £5.
• Leather seats clean and condition £10.

I wouldn't clay bar and hand polish a car for £50!!

If he does a decent job it's a bargain.

Clay bar removes contaminants from the paint before polishing, gives you a better finish.

He's using a paint sealant rather than wax - I'm testing out an MH friendly sealant at the moment from the same lab as developed the MH polish that folks on here like, seems like really good stuff, easy to apply, good shine, water beads off very well. It's an area that's developed well and should give longer lasting protection than wax.

Hydrophobic treatment I've being using on my motorhome now for two years in my opinion more cost effective and last and protects far better than wax.
in strong sunshine in Spain wax won't last a month Hydrophobic treatment several months.
