can anyone recomend a campsite sw france

Hi all we have already booked 3 weeks in Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains and we normaly go to lacanua to watch the surf comp, this year we cannot get onto the site we go on or any other in lacanua,Any recomendations nearby or further up the coast? cheers found a few but always feel better with a recomendation thanks in advance.

all booked when we want to go 12-19 august, forgot to say we need a pool for kids they would have had 3 weeks on the beach.

Have you tried Airotel l'Ocean? Trying that this year instead of Grand Pins, looks like a better pool complex and slightly closer to where the surfing will be (that's one of the reasons we're going there/then).

yeah we go evey year fully booked for over 2 months,im getting worried as they said they would get back to me with any cancelations and nothing yet do i hang on, just worried about get a pitch elsewhere!
Have you booked airotel ? fantastic place.

Yes I've booked it, thanks for the comment about how good it is as I stuck my neck out a little with the family by not booking Grand Pins again! Good luck with a possible cancellation, with the coronavirus it may put some off travelling.

Its an amazing place close to the shops close to the beach and if you want to chill pool's are great, the sun beds go very quickly! how long ago did you book? I tried in feb with no luck. And if you go when the surf comp is on its amazing.

I booked it back in November, not long after the ferry bookings became available. I must admit I like the atmosphere around Lacanau and the beach/surf is brilliant.
