Hi, can anyone help with this, please? In our 2018 Adria Twin T some important papers have slid down underneath the base of the storage cupboard above the cab. How can we take the base out? Any ideas? Thanks

Yes…. It’s the floor of this cupboard. The papers have slid underneath the back of it and we need to take the base out to get at them.

I think you will need to start by taking the door off then examine the two screws visible, along with what appear to be two screws covered by caps to the right and left of them, to see if they release the facia of the cupboard. Tread carefully though as from my experiences converters don't usually put these things together with a view to them ever having to come out.

Best of luck though, I hope you solve it.

Just looked at this on a bigger screen. The two screws are, as I should have spotted, part of the cupboard door. Sorry. I think the two that may be under the caps might still be worth a look.

Long shot, but maybe pull the strips off the drivers door and see if you can look up under the edge of the roof lining. You may well be looking at the underside of the cupboard base that the papers are sitting on, but maybe not ....

We had something similar happen with a previous PVC when the reg dogs for the Smart car we'd just bought decided to go and hide in the same place as yours!!! I managed to get a small gap at the leading edge of the cab roof lining (near the windscreen) and from there used a piece of straightened coat hanger with tape on to pull the papers out.

Have you tried a flat piece of plastic packing banding with some sellotape on? Just a thought.

Maybe you could take the cover off the front it could just be decorative

There is a thin hollow bendy grab tool on the market, about 3ft long, that has a push button at one end and 3 long fingers that come out of other end

If the papers can slide down, perhaps, as its less than a quarter inch across, this can be inserted? Good Luck!

PS. It might be worth asking the converter and explaining your predicament?

Had an Adria Twin , similar overcab shelf, think if you look inside to the right /above there are screws that hold the front cover on. You may need to get the control panel off to get to the left side. Won’t be easy to access , how they do it when building is beyond me.
