I am thinking of joining but I was wondering if the 25% discount for those over 60 applies to all their sites (Not CS's) throughout the year or is it applied at specific times. I cannot find out on the website so I thought perhaps someone who is a member might know. That 25% would make a significant saving so its worth considering membership.

We have been a member for the last year but never used a Club site (!) only the C.S's which don't give the discount.

The discount is ONLY for the pitch fee and not the persons so in reality it's not such a big deal ....... for example a pitch fee of £8 would only give you £2 off ......... hardly gonna send you on holiday to the Bahama's on that!

Also the discount is not given for extras such as electricity.

So with all that in mind I would say don't lose any sleep over it quite frankly :)

Being over 60 I get the discount and it's off the price of the pitch which includes electricity.. I mainly use this club in the UK as I average £12 per night fee also free wifi which although doesn't allow huge downloads works well for social media etc. .. Its certainly better value than the other club.

Although having tried to book a couple of sites via their redesigned website this afternoon I gave up after interminable "a long running script" messages and waiting for the new map to load, and booked a couple of ferries to France instead.

Why do organisations constantly seek to fix things that aren't broken, or am I Victor Meldrew?

Good lord! I am 74 years old and I find the booking site a doddle and I am a total techniphob..

I got "the page is not responding due to a long running script" on almost every page of the booking system. Had to wait for it to time out before I could click Cancel. If you enter dates and the site is full on just one of them, it tells you that no pitches are available without letting you see which dates are available, so instead of having the opportunity to amend your booking dates you have to keep submitting amended dates and hoping you strike lucky.

I am very competent at the workings of computers and was the office "expert problem solver" for years. I do find assimilating information on screen less easy than the written page however, and poor implementation doesn't help.

In the end I decided a return ferry for the same price as about 5 nights on a club site and the ability to go where I like on a whim without having to book sites in advance was much more attractive. Finding the ferry times and costs on DFDS website was far easier than navigating the new C&CC site. A quick phone call to book with 20% discount and I was done (y)

Never had that problem I normally book a average 10sites each year. Must have been an issue on their site. Mind you, you could have just picked up the phone same as you did for the ferry, its just as quick.

We are pitched on a C&CC site at Dingwall at the moment and have just been looking at the new book that just arrived before we left home.
This image gives the details about age discount.

It shows that the Age discount is always 25% off the adult price. excluding high season

Two of us together saved £4.75 tonight.

You should probably just ignore me. I'm feeling a bit cranky after two whole days of cr@p dealing with what you would have thought would be a simple and straightforward matter of making a claim for a stolen mobile phone. Judging by that experience anyone who thinks they're not that bothered about their MH getting stolen because it is insured, as I often see stated on here, must be off their rocker.

Anyway, totally off topic. Move along, nothing to see here :D
