Campervan Insurance for use as vehicle whilst not camping!

Hi sorry if this topic has been covered at some point in the past but I couldn’t find a similar recent post!

We are about to buy our new VW camper which we want to use as our everyday vehicle as well as camping. We plan to go off touring Europe for a long period as well so need European cover for at least 9 months for our first trip...so I guess it’s like fulltiming although we won’t always be camping in it and just using as a vehicle. I called Comfort Insurance for a quote (as we used them for full time cover when we had a motorhome) and they said they couldn’t insure our vehicle which I was surprised about). Does anyone have any suggestions of whom might insure us?

We use Camptons but there is a ' no commuting' clause which does not matter to us as we are both retired, up to 15000 miles pa.
Might be worth a call to see if they can come up with something.

My previous VW Camper which was LHD was insured for commuting to work. Have you tried Adrian Flux?
