Down in Ayr for a few days to take in the football, Kilmarnock v Dundee, 2-2 for those sad enough to be interested!

Site is slowly reopening after refurb, no toilet block yet, so 20% reduction on fees. As well as new fully serviced pitches they have knocked down the old brick built facilities block and are replacing it with a “plastic block construction “ , looks similar to a static mobile home? Chatting with the warden he said all new blocks on non all year opening sites would be similar, still brick built on all year sites.

Pictures show it 8 weeks from completion, still to get boilers, pipes etc connected and then decking etc installed as it’s off the ground. Blends in nicely with the surroundings, not intrusive.

Very interested to see what it’s like once completed. Also nice new Motorhome point being installed.

Which one were you supporting? If Dundee I certainly think they’ve done ok this season under SP, certainly anytime we’ve (Celtic) they’ve gave us a good game.

No, we are long time Kilmarnock supporters, both of us from Ayrshire, though we regard our season ticket as more of a charitable donation!! We also get the chance to see our son when we go, so a family catch-up!
It’s a bit of a drag, 130 mile round trip, but when you are a supporter ….!

At least you’ll get a decent pie 😂😂
Killie have been a decent team in the pl especially under Clark, would certainly be a shame to see you go down. Although I think now’s its the split StM and Aberdeen will be getting worried, personally I see StM finishing 2nd bottom.

I’m not a great follower of Scottish football, but always keep an eye out for Hearts as I worked with a Hearts supporter in the early 80’s. George Best and all that. So my Scottish team is going to win the league and Bolton are hopefully in the league one play offs. As to the toilet block it looks very smart.
