We have just spent 5 nights at Dunstan hill campsite near Crastor Northumberland, it was a great break. The site is 1.5 mile from the beach and 2.5 miles from Crastor and The ruins of Dunstanbourgh Castle. It's a great location for walking, fishing, surfing and has a few pubs within a mile or two. The site is very clean and tidy with a good play park and grassed area for the kids to play, also has a dog walk within some woods. The site was quiet on a night time and the toilet area was nipping clean and warm. Although it was Easter weekend and the site was rammed it never felt busy or over crowded. A couple of down sides are maybe, the shop has very little in it (wine) and you must walk or drive to surrounding attractions. There is however a bus stop outside the campsite that can take you all over the area. Well worth a visit if you like Northumberland or fancy a new adventure.
Cheers Mark

Also the wife is raving about her new poncho towel lol

It's a few years since we were there, but the wardens gave us a lift to a local restaurant and then the resto's gave us a lift back in their people carrier.

A mighty fine model she makes as well, old crab.

The wardens (gestopo) are canny there, a bit of a laugh once you get over the initial arrival ordeal of 'you can't leave van until instructed too shnel shnel lol
