I have just bought from Lidl a c/monoxide sensor alarm but it states in small print not suitable for a motorhome but I can’t understand why not as it’s doing the same job wherever it’s positioned, any ideas why it’s not suitable.

Surely it will sound the alarm only when the CO reaches a pre-determined level wherever it is being used?Could it be too sensitive for such a small area?
Will it give false alarms when you are cooking
I wouldn’t be without one. There have been CO deaths in tents and they are generally considered well ventilated. If well-ventilated (and you should be) I don't think CO is a threat.
Exactly my point, even those who think they don’t need a CO alarm can be caught out.Not many tents will have a CO alarm.
CO can be created from equipment in MHs not working correctly and/or needing a service so it is certainly something that should be installed in every MH/camper etc. MHs etc do have ventilation but this is unlikely to be sufficient for CO as much of it is in lockers/cupboards etc (ie gas drop vents) so not in the main 'habitation' area with the exception of roof vents which may have ventilation but if the CO reaches them it's likely already killed the occupants. If you feel the need for such a device, getting a cheap one seems to question the need.

The next problem would be where to put it...
