I have just sold my first motorhome and am now looking for a replacement . There will only ever be my wife and myself in the motorhome . I am now hoping to spend longer trips away ( 4-6 weeks) at a time . We had first decided to get a 6 metre motorhome , favouring the Roller team 590 with a drop down bed .
However we have now fallen in love with the Burstner 680g that we saw at one of Warner's shows . This one is 7 Metres , the same as our old van Rimor 677tc . If there is anyone who has experience of either of these I would welcome you comments .
Have anyone had any problems with electric drop down beds . What if it jams , can it be operated manually.

That's the one van I would swop my T660 for.
I've resisted drop down beds because they didn't come down low enough to get out / off it easily. It seems they now do. I've always fancied a garage for my motorcycle but was never happy with the high single bed compromise. The only draw back for us is that we both would have to go to bed at the same time. TV viewing position would also have to be considered.

Make sure you check the width as well as the length as some MHs are now quite fat especially compared to Rimors.

Thanks for the comments .Mark, I look forward to seeing your comments about ownership tomorrow .

We had a 680g from April 2016 great van very spacious only 2 of us so seemed the perfect layout.
We have just changed to a Hymer exsis as the only drawback for us was you had to go to bed and get up together as there was no useable seating area once the bed was lowered.
We had an issue with the bed motor just stopped working when we were in France.
We had to wind the bed up manually which is not a problem and then for the remainder of the holiday we made the seating area into a bed as we had the make up cushions to convert to a 4 berth. Burster dealers in France were more than happy to help even offering to courier a new motor overnight from the factory but we decided to wait until we got back to the UK.
The only other slight issue for us was the size of the garage once the folding ebikes were in there was not much room for anything else other than a couple of folding chairs here are a few funders who have this van and all sing it' praises and rightly so.
If you want to ask anything just pm me and I will be glad to answer your questions

We have had this van since June 2017. Very pleased with it, bed drops down lower than our previous van and is lengthways, we swapped from an Adria Matrix 590 as the bed was widthways and you needed a ladder to get in and out.
Watching TV is easy from lounge and bed, only real gripe is that there is no backrest in bed to lean against when sitting up. We have had a problem with the blind over the rooflight above the bed warping, it has been replaced once but I have noticed that it is happening again.
We shelved out the "wardrobe" next to the fridge and use this as larder and kitchen storage. We have found it to have plenty of storage so far, but haven't yet put the cycles in the garage, we'll be trying this ready for our French trip next month.

We’ve had our 680g since Oct 17, we are very pleased with it. As per the previous comments, the one downside is bedtime! Our cold weather solution is a set of headphones for the TV. The summer solution is we have the 230v/12v/TV external panel to use in the awning (if and when there’s a summer.)

We chatted to another owner earlier in the year who had the same problem as above with the rooflight. He advised us to leave the bed down one stop when in storage I thought was a good idea and have done so. Whether you should have to when paying this sort of money is probably a separate debate.

Overall very happy. I find it a very stable drive.

Kind regards

We have the IT734i from this range, I think to date the only CB with the Longitude bed, it comes down to seat level and it’s massive.
I think the 680 is exactly the same bed, some have said sitting up in bed is a problem, we just put the pillows against the front seats back rest, perfect. (seats have to be turned round to lower bed)
A few minor issues, but very pleased so far any questions just ask

Hi any one had issues with the Fiat drive train being underpowered on hills with 2.3 ltrs with 140 bhp? Looking at the 9 speed ZF automatic gear box. The reviews above are encouraging. Thank you

Hi Swansea Jack , had our t590 for nearly three years. Very happy with it as it has everything we need for two of us and been reliable. Fixtures and fittings basic but adequate, the drop down bed is excellent for us, good size and comfortable. There is a simple mechanical method to wind the bed up/down if there was an electrical fault. Added a few drop down shelves and power outlets 12v & mains and improved the Fiat lighting (added a lightbar for country lane use) I know not strictly road legal but damn useful on poorly lit roads. The base vehicle handles well and really moves along when pushed. That Burstner looks great also. Good luck with whatever you choose.
Nigel.

Love our Burstner. We kept the wardrobe next to fridge as we don’t hang much. Fitted shelving in bathroom wardrobe. One side each!!
Bed is great but although I would prefer a fitted bed, the space in garage is a bonus for us for our ebikes. Hubby put fold up bike pedals on our bikes so easier to put in garage. We seem to have plenty of room left in garage.
When leaving van, we put bed down enough to make it impossible for someone to drive. Removing small key from panel.
There is a small space high up near habitation door we use for valuables which is difficult to get to when bed down a fraction.
Behind lounge seats (where passenger seat belts are,) there is a very handy shelf for kitchen use. Unfortunately we are unable to move it back. We had problems with the table. Now gone.
Love the wider habitation door, tv placement, garage, overall storage, bathroom.
