Hope not too, I've a week at the beginning of October, Calais to (roughly) Bayeaux and back.

me too going on thursday

Hoping to go Dieppe down to Caen starting 23rd October. A visit to the Seine for one night, Honfleur, Bayeux, Barfleur, Utah and have a few other places in mind. In no particular order. Ferry from Caen home a week after. Can’t wait 😊

Many campsites are closing for the winter and this is filling those that are not and the aires.

Think it's because you are on the coast ,inland will be a bit quieter , i have done 7 weeks late june ,july and beginning of August and not many full . Heres a link via caramaps of the stops .

Yes we have found that a lot of campsites appear to close for winter next week!
Have found some that are open until end of October from the details i have seen. Only concern is these appear to still be using grass pitches. Noticed not many offer hard standings. We do plan on using Aires of SFS and Camping Car Park App.

Same here, I only have a week and never been to France in the motorhome so Im treating it as a sort of recce for future trips. But the plan is basically to use the aire / camping car parks as many are close to the coasts and middle of towns as the wifes not able to walk very far to be fair. Not bothered about proper sites at all.

Same for us ref first time in moho in France. Tbh we drove all the way to Royan a few weeks ago in the car with kids, stayed on lovely site in static for a week. Went a few places but as we have kids staying at granddads the week, we’re off to find the nice little villages. Few meals out, few drinks and wandering. No plans at all atm. What the kids didn’t want to do lol
