Just had an email from Brittany ferries??
Apparently their system has been hacked between October 21 and November 2.
Email address's etc. have been accessed.
The message said nothing to worry about but you should change your password.
I don't know if it's a scam, I won't be doing anything. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar message.

Not had the email 😢

me too, not doing anything

Not had an email yet but i am last in the alphabet :), nothing in their for them to grab as password is auto generated and unique which i hope everyone's are. It would be a good idea to go directly to their site (not via a link in email) to then request a password change just in case, be nothing worse than someone logging in and say cancelling an upcoming trip just because they can.

Nothing yet.

I have been waiting a couple of months for BF to sort out their online booking system. Because they transferred my bookings to their new system, I cannot at the moment re-book online. I was told it would be resolved by early November 21. Still not the case.

If you can't then the hackers won't be able to either :), joking aside thats pretty poor to be honest by BF

Had my e mail. Not looked at it yet so will see if I need to do anything. That’s the trouble, there are so many realistic e mails which end up being scams that we get too cautious so if real one comes in we miss something.

Only way to be sure is to go directly to the BF site and not click on any link in an email, at least that way you know the site it legit.

Not had a email about changing the password, only one about renewing my club voyage membership, and we are fairly low on the alphabet.

There isn't a link to click on the Brittany Ferries email but still a good reminder not to click links

Got the email and have changed my password, renewed my Club Voyage membership for Spain at the same time, good to see you can renew on line now, instead of by telephone, good to go until end Nov 22 now😎

Thanks for everyone's replies. It seems to be genuine.
I'll wait until I get home to sort it out, mainly because I can't remember my password and it's written down somewhere.

Applied to rejoin the club over the weekend and got a message saying they’d be in touch soon. Got a call while I was in a meeting yesterday, so WomanTheVan answered it. Message is I can either pay online or by phone. There was no option to pay online, so I guess nothing will happen unless I call them on their 0330 number?

If anyone‘s been able to pay online, please say how!

Yesterday I accessed my account from the BF main site, not the email and changed my password after which all seemed well. Today I seem to have been locked out of my account. I have been trying to phone BF but can't get through.
