Hi
Our 2017 Boxer had its engine rebuilt 1300 miles ago and is now telling us to change the oil, is that normal?
Thanks
Martyn

The boxer change oil light also works of the build up of carbon gases in the oil from the egr valve. If you do small trips alot or leave them ticking over alot the light can come on early. You can reset by pressing the throttle and brake pedals fully down together, keep them pressed and turn ignition on. Once it resets turn the ignition off and remove your feet from the pedals. I would recommend changing the oil and filter. I ran a fleet of 12 boxers 67 to 69 reg and use to have problems with the engineers leaving them ticking over, which causes engine failure or adblue injecter failure. The later boxers 22 to 24 regs seem to be alot better (touch wood) Peugeot fleet recommend changing oil and filter every 15k and not the 30k intervals in the book.
