Quiet...July and August are the busy periods....where are you planning to go..
Only other times are local Fiestas or big Christian festivals...

The Picos, Comillas,etc. not been ever so may have to be flexible

Busier...May 1st is a Thursday therefore Friday would be a bridging day, giving a long weekend situation...I wouldn't be too concerned however both locations are tourist traps...being flexible is wise... arriving on Wednesday 30th April before lunchtime should guarantee a place..
