I love fireworks, we always light a few sparklers down the garden as it’s himselfs birthday on 5th November, I then go from window to window watching fireworks from a distance.
My birthday is 9th November and I’m 75 this year, I will now sound pathetic, we have no children so birthdays usually pass by without mention.
I would love to go somewhere in the Motorhome where we could watch a firework display and eat a big tub of ice cream and have cake.
Can anyone suggest an organised display where we could overnight somewhere nearby?

I don’t like fireworks, but the two places that spring to mind for fantastic displays are St Cyprian in France and Alton Towers. Absolutely superb.

Sunny Seaton Carew.......

Arranged/booked motorhome parking at the Mayfair Center and two car parks without overnight restrictions on the sea front....although one can sometimes be noisy with kids in their cars.

Two good chip shops, nice Italian restaurant , Indian restaurant/takeaway indoor ice cream parlour and numerous take away ice cream shops all on the sea front. Oh and one or two small pubs.

Thanks everyone, I knew that you would be able to make suggestions, I'll look them all up online.

Benidorm does an amazing firework display, second only to Disneyworld that I have seen, it's a little bit later in Nov from memory, so do one in UK then motor down to Benidorm!

Malta excel at village firework displays & competitions.
Health & safety isn't a priority

I have to say all the best people have birthdays on bonfire night :):) a bit of a drive for you but M&D at Strathclyde park about 12 miles south of Glasgow normally have a big display, the bonus being the CMC site is right next door so you could have a few days away at the same time.

If it’s on this year the one at the Shrewsbury Showground is excellent. Ambilkate might know.
Hi Dave &Sally , thanks for mentioning Shrewsbury Showground . Next time I talk to Jan I'll ask her about bonfire night and post her reply on this thread .

I know they have started the antique fairs & carboots again .The fairground was on last weekend . I daresay it will be down to how things go with covid . They are now open for camping and can be found on pitchup ,they are very reasonably priced for camping in the middle of Shrewsbury .
