The toilet in my 'new to me' van is a Dometic 4110 and what a weird design it is. My previous vans have all had Thetford toilets, when you swivelled the seat the bowl also swivelled. With the Dometic when swivelling the seat, which is slightly elliptical, the bowl, and its hole, remain at a fixed point so that the toilet hole and mine :xeek: do not line up.
What a s#/? design, no amount of lining up both orifices has met with much success yet. :xangry::xrofl:

polish the bowl and it wont leave skid marks

Line it with paper first. ?

Ours is the same, but I don’t regard it as an exercise in precision bombing. The flush seems to work pretty well :giggle:

I do the lining, polishing etc to no avail as it is just such a crazy design. xroll:

Enlarge the hole. There are websites. Make sure SWMBO is out. ensure you wipe your browser history. Have fun and don't rush!

Dometic cassette toilets would not be my choice
I also have one in my Pilote and had the misfortune to lose the cap at an emptying point whilst in France
Could I source a replacement easily , not a chance I had a kind French campsite owner phone every dometic agent and motorhome dealer within a hundred miles of Pau and they all said 3 days before they could source a replacement
Had it been a thetford then it wouldn’t have been an issue as parts were readily available
:xangry::xangry:
