Bear lock security

I saw something very similar to this on Tomorrow's world I think. They did a load of research on which was the best, most tamperproof lock and they discovered it was the ones off a condom machine in a gents toilet :D
They used these locks through the gear linkage to prevent it being taken out of the chosen gear.

Very, very long time ago I heard that.

Liked the look of this security system and contacted Theft Stop who are the fitters and based in Birmingham. For a 2015 Ducato the fitted cost was quoted as £449. They will travel and fit at your home. As my MH is left hand drive they need a week to order the correct version.

Anyone had one fitted?
Do UK insurance companies recognise them as they are TUV approved?

I think that’s a reasonable cost considering anything to do with motorhomes is at a higher cost. I know it probably won’t stop anyone getting in the motorhome (same as other alarms) but it’ll confuse the bugger out of the thief and he’ll think the gearbox is knackered and hopefully bugger off…😎

Found that lock a little while ago on here

and still like the look of this as an extra layer of defence.Neat and not as well known as many other options so will add another layer of confusion.

I can’t believe this system isn’t liked more… I think it’s great and will get it when I’ve got my next van….😎
