Hei New to this forum and I'm owner of a 2022 Fiat Ducato ZFA250 Motorhome.

Probably a love hate relation, just now hate is dominating.

Last year the BCM and Window wiper motor was changed, total failure. Now the same happens again. Holiday season and the car is stranded for a few month. Drivng in scandinavia without window wipers is a no go.

The history up to now:
In May, rain sensor and radio fuse blow, exchanged, Happy.
Recently: when driving in heavy rain:
  • Brake control assist claims, camera obscured or blocked, popping up now and than
  • Stopped the car for night
  • Started car in the morning:
Window wiper does not function
Driver & passenger window do not work
Speed limiter active
Stopped engine, wait for a few minutes, restart and speed limiter not active any more. though rest still fails.
Checked fuses and relays, they work
Reset of system by disconnecting battery (let system go to sleep after 5 minutes disconnect battery, wait 10 minutes, connect battery) Didn't work

- Things done up to now:
Visited a garage and they checked the failure codes
These are:
Front Windows: B11A3-13, B11A4-13, B11A5-13: all relays open
Window wiper; B1021-14, B1020-14; relays 1 and 2 Short circuit to ground
Sensor blinded C14A5-97 and C14A6-688

Now to the question:
  • Why is it possible that the "same" problem comes again after 11 month
  • Any suggestions where the error is that cause the unit to fail
  • Assuming it is again the BCM which send interesting signals to the actuators

Any help would be highly appreciated.
Bernd

Hi there and welcome

I can only think that the BCM module is being corrupted by some form of short circuit or excessive voltage! But I’m guessing!

Welcome to the forum.

I presume this is all being looked at under warranty?

Have you tried the Fiatforum?

Given the range of faults , I would suspect that a faulty node is corrupting the CANbus, has anyone done a basic voltage / resistance check of the high/ low CAN at the OBD socket yet ?
