Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
If your planning a staycation in 2021 & Scotland takes your fancy, have a wee look at BBC Scotland on the I-Player, the program your looking for is called
"THE FOREST" & shows you my playground in all its glory. :dance2:

Hope this link works, https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b09m61c0/the-forest
Midges aren't usually a problem til mid May & wild camping is happily tolerated as long as we don't rip the arse out of it.

Or watch the episode which I've popped on below, oh & don't blame me for the accents of some of the labourer's, I'm Scottish & even I can't understand some of them.

:dance2:

It’s on my list of places to visit.

Cant do midges..........when do they disappear in the autumn?

It depends on the weather, if its damp & warm, they'll last til September, but if its warm & dry they can be conspicuous by their absence.

Thank You Robert!
Only episodes 4/5/6 available on I player down here.x:-)
Watched all 3, understood every word, loved the banter, just like listening to my family members, wished I could have worked up there, seems like a great job being a Ranger.
5 years fishing with illegal sheds and jetties!, loved the forest managements decision to let theme keep 1 shed going, as the lady said a few times, "The Forest belong to the people" loved that.
Cheers mate.

Yep I can vouch for it
Watched whole series first time round on telly
The rangers are really decent folks, they usually say hello & will happily accept a cuppa as long as your playing by the rules, cant be bad eh?
