Thanks Terry, we are also away in Suffolk at the mo,bloody thing started to stink last night, so disconnected everything and did some reconnection to the good one, all seems fine,so I intend to order two new ones when I get home next week,,cheers for the advice and infoAlthough it's not strictly necessary, if one goes down the other can't be far away. Replacing the duff battery will just impact on the new one when it's twin expires. Change them both for a matched pair.
Have just had the same experience myself, just as we were getting ready to go to Thetford. Swapped things around and managed happily on just the one for the weekend - luckily very sunny so the solar helped. As soon as I got back I ordered a pair of replacements which are now fitted and just finished charging them up. (And before anyone asks I just used lead/acid - I've always been happy with them, they're looked after and easily last their expected life. I really cannot be bothered with lithiums and all the associated paraphernalia).
