Wow.

Found this when we realised the hot tubs on love2stay were communal and looked for a site with hot tubs on the pitches. The site is beautiful. Easy to get to, amazing walks and scenery as well as red kites circling around and a hot tub on your own pitch (there are 13 pitches with tubs right now).

Clearly a lot of work has gone into this site and the family that run it are committed to making it a great place to stay.

Now Mrs tiggs won't stay at a site without a private hot tub. Any idea where there are more?

Seconded, one of nicest places we've been to (y)
We were supposed to be spending this week touring as we spent last week on a site with family. Think we might extend and stay here until the end of the week.

We too look for sites with hot tubs as we have one at home & miss it when we are away, if you do move on, Red Kite Touring Park, 5* adults only & doggy friendly, doesn't have hot tubs, but is equally beautiful & tranquil. (y)

Hi, The Lady Heyes Campsite has them but you have to rent a lodge I think as they are placed on the porch of some of the small lodges .

Not a fan got rid of mine as it was never used. Not sure I would want to use a public one that people have been blowing their nose in and what ever else they use them for. Sorry am I putting you off...;)

Must admit I would never use a hot tub after all the health warnings floating about. A private one at home probably OK but not one that could have been used by all sorts.
Very important to shower before and after using one, OK if its just you but one that's been used by strangers carrying all sorts of bugs no way.

Well the replies suggest why more sites haven't installed tubs..

The ones here are very well looked after and checked/treated every day so no worries for me

When we were there we tested the water with the chemical testing kit that came with out hot tub & the water was perfectly hygienic

No doubt the cost of buying the hot tubs is a factor as to why more places don't have them.

Even at trade price they look like at least £4k each x 13 = £52k's worth of kit + installation of power supply.

I worked with a young lady that sold and serviced hot tubs, jacuzzis, and swimming pools in her previous job. She said she wouldn't ever use a tub or jacuzzi because of the amount of chemicals needed to keep them hygienic and filter skin cells. Yuk, no thanks.

Ditto.

The disinfectant commonly used in hot tubs & swimming pools & indeed public water supplies is chlorine - I doubt that the young lady in question has avoided either tap water or a swimming pool.

Apart from a miniscule amount of alkalinity enhancer / reducer & p.h. enhancer / reducer, if & when required, the correct amount of chlorine is all we have added to our hot tub water for the past 10 years, we of course change the filter regularly & the water thrice a year.

Using a hot tub regularly for ten years, you must be some form of a martyr. I'd sooner have a nice hot shower. When I was single it was ok for impressing the ladies with a nice bottle of something but not anymore..:)

I’ve never used a hot tub so forgive my ignorance but when you’re on a site with a hot tub is the water not poured fresh for every new client? Are you lying in the same water that others have lain in and are you relying on a chemical process to get rid of their dirt/skin/urine/faeces?

Thanks for the recommendation, looks great. Have booked for early September.

On this site they certainly seemed to be emptying them and refilling them as people left but I can't be sure (we were also packing up).

They have a facebFac page and are pretty easy to find if you have questions. We liked it but I'm sure it is not to everyones taste.
