We have a four-year old Peugeot Boxer and we try to change the engine oil as often as we can. We looked into using Bardahl XTEC 5w40 with a bottle of C60 Fullerene. We did get some once, but it's hard to find in the UK ... any thoughts?

Not heard of that oil to be honest. I get my oil from Opie oils who are very knowledgable and I tend to get steered by them. Very good service, fast, and also supply filters and other parts.

'As often as we can' is probably twice a year with 5k between changes. I've always thought that regular oil changes are important and I've come to believe that 100% synthetic is beneficial. Most 'fully synthetic' oils are not fully synthetic and I understand Bardahl has been proved to keep the EGR and similar systems clean. We have had EGR problems previously and I'd rather pay more for oil than experience problems and expensive repairs.

Back in the day (1993) we had a new Renault 19. Turbo diesel and 1.9.
The service interval was 5000 miles and that included an oil change. Lovely car but it cost a fortune in servicing costs.
