We had Avtec television on one night while away. Tried the next night no signal I think. Tried auto tune not bringing up any tv or radio programes. Moved to different area still same also tried it today back home still same. Any ideas please.

Have you checked all of your coax connections?

I had this problem a few weeks ago and finally found a split in the coax.

Is the aerial feed via a signal booster? If so perhaps the power to the booster has been turned off accidentally or the fuse has blown.

Check that the correct input is connected to the aerial input on the booster, if you have an external tv connection point.
Obviously I wouldn’t make that sort of error. Cough Cough.

We had a similar issue a few weeks ago, turned out to be the screen. Sent off to Avtec in Cardiff new screen fitted plus carriage both ways c£150

There is a red light flashing on what I think is the booster.

I assume you have the source set correctly for Digital TV?

What sort of aerial do you have, if directional do you have a good signal?

If at home do you have another TV yo can try to see if the same issue?

Might be easier if you put some pictures of your booster and aerial sockets.

It could be as simple as a coax plugged in to the wrong socket at either or both ends.

Can you try moving the TV into the house and testing on the house co ax?

The Tv is 12 volt. The signal is fine on the TV in the house. The TV worked on our drive before we set off and also on our first night on sight then nothing the second day

You need to help yourself by posting some pictures of your Aerial, Booster, TV showing source etc. We are not mind readers, it may be that you were lucky putting the aerial up and it was lined up with transmitter, or maybe yo have accidentally turned the booster off or wrong source on TV.

My experience with Avtec was their customer service was excellent, it needed to be as their products and software wasn't

The DPD driver and I became best of friends due to the frequency of their visits, to collect and deliver:giggle:

Ok so Tv is working fine . Co ax or booster needs to be looked at now .
Think he's saying that as the TV is 12volt he hasn't tried it on the house aerial

There’s a cunning on off rocker switch on the bottom of Avtex tv. Very easy to accidentally trip.
From #1 it seems the Avtex powers up ok but auto tune doesn’t find any stations.

The booster should be bright green (steady light) if you have locked on to a strong signal. Amber light will be a poor signal but should be okay for a few channels. Red steady light means you have not located a signal at all. Dont know what a flashing red light is… could be a fault. Have you tried moving to a new location and trying again?

If the switch is okay it could be that the coax is at fault.
The connections on mine both into tv and to the Ariel are often loose and get a poor connection, tried new leads, new terminals, finally stopped it by wrapping tin foil round ends before plugging back in.
Also did you returned as soon as you got to site or after it stopped?
Set may have had a memory of channels from last time you used it and you are now in a signal black spot.

Hi, Have you sorted your problem yet, I am an AV engineer by day and have just stumbled on your post and may be able to give you some advice.

Good luck he has ignored all other offers to help

One of the problems is that with fault finding, you have to follow a logical thought process, quite often when people throw all sorts of info, solutions and advice (sometimes bad advice) in to the head of someone non technical things normally just get worse. I see it all the time in my day job.

Quite agree but he has just ignored any suggestion or request to upload some photo's of what he is seeing which always helps IMHO.

I have not ignored any offers of help. I just have not found the right advice to sort it Micheal IT. Also I have not had time to take photos but thanks for your remarks.

Check the inner core hasn’t snapped of the coax cable at either end.
This happens occasionally on satellite f type connectors you just need to remake ,very easy to do
