The "beading" on my 02 cheyenne is starting to come away as you can see from the photo. This at the high level above the awning. Anyone had the same problem and fixed it? I assume I have to remove the beading and refit the strip it goes into. I reckon the strip is screwed on and the beading may need warming up to remove and refit? Anyone got any experience of this? Thanks in advance.

So it looks like the beading is held on just with sikaflex, certainly in the area I was working (about 3 inch) there were no hidden screws as I ran a blade behind to remove the old sika flex and it hit no obstructions. In the picture you can see the twenty year old "glue" and it came away really easily. I used gorilla glue to put it back as I had no sikaflex to hand. Luckily i could just get a small sash clamp in place to hold it while it set overnight. Note the liberal use of masking tape to catch the excess glue that flowed down. We'll see if the gorilla glue will hold on the next run in a few weeks time. At least I know now its an easy fix if I need do it again.
