Auto or Manual??????

I`ve just never understood why people would want a manual gearbox, we had the Merc sprintshift in our last motorhome with cruise control and it was just a joy to drive.
Have now moved to the Fiat ducato, 6sp manual gearbox on the motorway with cruise it`s brilliant but when you come to the lanes and town traffic it`s a royal pain in the arse, who on earth thought a 6sp manual box was an improvement, they must be mad.
Constantly changing gear in town is just so uncomfortable against the auto smooth just press the pedal and go.
Our next motorhome will definitely be an Auto box.
