Austria closes borders to uk residents?

Just heard escorted tour to Austria cancelled partly due to above. Don’t know about accuracy of information or duration. Think all escorted tour companies have now cancelled Croatia this September

There's no border control if you choose the right road, but escorted tour different ballgame I guess, never been on one.

I realise this a new rule but we entered Austria from Slowakia a few weeks ago and there was no border control.

I cannot imagine that they have just set up controls 24hrs a day on all roads in the hope of stopping a few UK residents.

Sounds more like a deterrent.
