Just got a letter, "Fiat Ducato Brake Pipe". Fiat Ref 6255.
Some mechanical stuff about a brake line retaining clip not fitted to a tucker on the dashboard wall.

No, me neither.

Says it will take half an hour to fix, or two and half if your brake pipes need replacing.

Quite a few people on here including myself have also received the same recall. Getting done next Wednesday.

That model year is affected. Thanks

Sorry, I only got the letter yesterday!

All credit to Fiat for making another recall. These cannot be a cheap option. With the huge amount of components not necessarily manufactured by Fiat it does surprise me that there are not more failing components, which I am sure there must be. I guess we only hear about those that could potentially be dangerous. How interesting it would be if the motorhome body builders were to have recalls for window fittings or door locks for example.

Hi DDJC Can I asked what model year is your MH. I have not had a recall letter or email from Fiat, and are worried we might have been missed.

Thanks

No probs,

Ours is on a 68 plate. Ducato Maxi cab, 3800 wheelbase, 150 hp version of the 2.2l engine

(well I think it is the maxi cab)

I had my 2019 checked in October, took minutes to establish the clip was in place. I think the problem relates to ones built between 2016 and 2019, most seem to be ok but a few slipped through without the clip and this means the brake pipes are free to rub where they shouldn’t.

You can check for recalls here: use the chassis check
