Despite the difficult times we’ve had the weather has been very kind to us. Just one day of rain since lock down.

At least the damp problems in my mum and dads pad in Thornton Cleveleys is drying out.....Lovely here in Cheshire too!

Lovely garden. That seventh stepping stone is slightly out of line - sort it out please

and some of the trees are not growing straight, it makes me question some peoples willingness to accept mediocrity ...... ;)

Beautiful garden. Been beautiful here for long while too.

Yes......just across the field from us. We’re near the yacht club in Little Thornton. We do our daily exercise with the dog down there. Had the pleasure of water skiing on the river years ago. We’re lucky to have it close by.

Will you stop putting these pictures of up here on please. You’ll be encouraging the southerners to visit. Note to all the southerners, these photos are made up, photo shopped, copied rom elsewhere. Honest the North is not like this. Ever. ??‍? say nowt about up North ???.

Same ole same ole. Bit of sun up there they all get cocky. Probably sun stroke. Tee hee

Hows the building work on the new estate going? Are they back at work yet or is it just a ploughed up field? (We USED to go to Stannah quite a lot, Bro lives in Poulton)

It’s still quiet at the moment. They got a dozen up and occupied before lockdown

It is possible to get sunburn in the north west, I got it myself. Mum was training to be a SCM at Leeds hospital (for something called the new NHS), and I got palmed off to various "aunties" for the whole summer at a caravan site at Ulrome. It was bliss. A fabulous summer. I spent months gradually changing my skin like a lizard or a snake, playing on the wonderful sandy beach there. Then one day I came over all unwell. Queue mum having to come back from Leeds to take me home, lots of recriminations to the various aunties who all denied responsibility. "couldn't keep him in" etc. I'm guessing it was 1947 or thereabouts. I was a little blond kid, with a wonderful but variable tan. I did get to go back a few times, loved the place. Happy days. Now I'm stuck down here. We had planned to go back to see my rellies and old haunts this year. No chance!

Should think said campsite is about a mile in the sea now.

As above I had to return home early due to frostbite.
Overlooking the Brun valley. Blacko Tower I'm the foreground. Taken from Gisburn Old Rd.

Also for Innkeeper mountain bikes are the best.

Could be, would I be right in thinking it was close to a small bus station/building in centre of Garstang, this is taking me back 60yrs?
