Has anyone visited Alhambra Palace?

We want to stay nearby where you can catch a bus to visit the Palace and City.

Was wondering is someone can recommend a site nearby and was considering Las Lomas?
Have you been there and is it possible to do this? Or is it better to take the Motorhome to a car park nearby.

Do we need to purchase tickets beforehand?

Any recommendations would be very welcome as will be visiting that area end of April.

Cheers.

We stayed at the campsite at Beas de Granada and got the bus the Granada, about 30mins AFAICR. Campsite is high so great views ... but had a light dusting of snow overnight in November ...
And yes, you need to book ... campsite will do it for you.
We did see motorroams parked near the place, but didn't speak to anyone

We where there the other day great place but you'll be lucky to get a ticket in April.

You DO need to pre book. But there are stories of turning up early (7am!) and taking pot luck.
Sorry we can't help with a site, went in the car last year and stayed in a hotel for our 25th anniversary.
Enjoy Granada. Plenty to see and do.

We stayed here.

A few years ago and bought the Alhambra tickets the day before at the site, bus outside the gate to Granada and the a local bus from tourists info up to Alhambra.

I would suggest you buy your tickets beforehand with the timed visit to the Palace.\We found 3.30 at the end of our tour was the best.
We stayed at Reina Isabel which is a nice I think ACSI site and took a taxi to the Palace and back for €10 each way......................well worth it for the convenience. Easy bus in to visit the city.
We also booked the Flamenco Experience throught the campsite. We thought it would be a bit touristy and tacky, which it was but we enjoyed it and would certainly go again.
We did not think the food was worth the extra and distracted from the show.Enjoy
