Advice on sun screens please

I am trying to find is there a sunscreen / fly netting for an awning that allows wind to pass through it. I need to stop the sun burning me when I am at home on the patio and tried a sunscreen from eBay but it was solid and acted like a ships sail attached to our pergola. I had to remove it before it did any damage.?

Another vote for flexishades, I’ve actually remembered to pack them this year. Ironic really as we’re on the ferry at Poole on the first leg of our journey to Iceland!

Oh and we did have our fridge searched, well the nice young man opened the door. I could have had all sorts hidden behind Nick’s cider but I didn’t. He also admired how neatly the cupboards were packed. That won’t last. I may adopt him.
