Adria 640 SLB Suprem
Hello,
New to this site and also relatively new to motorhome ownership. Mine & my husband's pension lumpsums have been sunk into a beautiful Adria 640 SLB Twin Supreme 😍. Just out on our first 'test-run'.
Mostly everything seems great, but th habitation door flyscreen keeps popping out of it's runners. Really disappointing in the design which doesn't in my mind seem fit for purpose. Just wondering if this is something that others have experienced.
Would really appreciate any insight . Many thanks 😊

Hi and :welcome3: to the friendly folk on Fun. (y)

We have a Rapido PVC that has a sliding fly screen on the big side door. Ours has always jumped out of the runners at the bottom - seems to be a design issue.

Mostly overcome the problem by being very light handed when opening and closing the screen. Gently does it...

And when it jumps out, just put it back. Have lived with it like that for over 6 years now.

Glad you like your Adria! :giggle:

This is a common problem. Visit the Adria Twin Camper Van Owners Facebook group for more info and where to get the part that fixes the problem.

Hi Mike
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately the design of the flyscreen doesn't allow for popping back easily - It requires my husband to get the tool kit out each time. In truth it is just a minor inconvenience.
I guess having paid as much for the van as we did to purchase our first house, I expected more. - If the plastic used to construct the leading edge was a bit more robust I think the problem could be negated.
But so enjoying the sense of freedom. This has to be the best life. ☺️

Common fault which is normally fixed by fitting a metal bracket on the bottom runner. If under warranty i believe it will be replaced ny dealers otherwise its about. £30 for the part. They are on back order though.

Thank you so much for this. My husband is convinced that this is something he can do, but I will advise against, for fear of invalidating warranty. Thank you again 😀

I have the same issue. Best to grip the flyscreen at the shaded part as that seems to be the balance point, higher or lower and you twist it.

Get some silicone spray and spray the lower runner and it will glide more easily. If your washroom door is a little sticky the silicone spray will make a difference there as well.

Hope you continue to enjoy your new van. Any questions just ask, there are a lot of twin owners here and someone will have already experienced and solved any problem you might have.

Ah, sounds like a slightly different design to ours. It is fairly straightforward to just lift our screen back into the runner channel.

At the end of the day, just a bit of poor design, in our case. And thus no more than a slight frustration. :giggle:
