Hi all,, can l repair a damaged ABS plastic bumper with a fibreglass and filler kit?..

I wouldn't advise it. Get hold of some abs plastics (scrap yard will have loads of bumpers) and melt them together with a soldering iron. You can melt some mesh into the back over the joint also. Then make sure you use plastic filler. Normal filler will crack, plastic filler allows flex. ???

You need some MEK... don't make me spell it, here take a look instead :D

cut a joining piece of spare ABS for the rear face as support / strength (heat to curve as required) and allow to cool, rough up the two faces you are going to join, wet the MEK on the joining faces (Brush it on) and press / clamp everything together..
20 mins and it'll be done..
Remove clamps, add some flexi filler to the front face
