With my co-pilot out of action I stuck my bike in the garage and drove to the storage in Strathaven, I’ll catch the train from Hamilton to Glasgow and cycle back to Not Glasgow.

Glad your wife has had her op and is recovering, sounds like a pretty big job. Thank goodness it’s done.

My son and his girlfriend finally found a flat to rent in Southside. They were getting pretty worried I would have to say. Thank you very much for your suggestions and offers. Also thanks to lorger there were others but I’ve forgotten I’m afraid.

Guess who has been volunteered to drive the hire van up to Glasgow from Bristol on the 18th June. Yep, me. It will be my first time in Scotland. I’ll then fly back.

That’s great news and being a sousider (from south side) they’ll love it, once they’re settled tell them to try Shawlands for food and a night out, really good buzz about the place.

Plus the Glad Café - great wee music venue.

Mike has invited me to stay a few days as Rachel is straight into work and he will be job hunting. I may stay a couple and have a look around. They’re very excited again now. I don’t want to cramp their style of course. Rachel is an Engineer so at least I know I won’t be expected to do any DIY, she’s very practical.
