So the Burstner passed the MOT, but with advisories for the front tyres ("I wouldn't go to Spain with those"). The current front tyres are Michelin Agilis Camping and seem a reasonable tyre. Annoyingly the back tyres which I'd like to get rid of were fitted two years ago by the dealer before I got a chance to have a say in the matter (so they're cheap TR652 Radial Mileage Plus). The back axle is very crashy. I run 58/65 front/rear out of sympathy for the furniture.
So...any recommendations for new fronts on a 3.2/4.0 tonne Burstner? I've seen some recommendations for Maxxis Campro Mac2's? How would these compare to the current Michelins?
I might put the new ones on the back (as everyone says that's what you should do) and see if I can stand the cheap ones on the front. I don't need snow or winter tyres really, van is used in fair summer weather as a rule
Thanks for any advise.

It depends on where your travelling to,Maxxis Campro are only a summer tyre whereas the Maxxis vansmart AS/AL2 are a good all round summer/winter tyre three peak marked.

In my experience, Michelin Agilis Camper tyres are concrete hard, lack grip in the dry and are pretty sketchy in the wet. Most 'C' marked standard van tyres are better than the 'CP' marked Agilis Campers. I went for Continental VanContact 4Season 2, because Continental publish a handbook that states for my axle weight, I can safely run 50psi. Much less jarring than the Campers.

As mentioned I only need summer warm weather use, more important for me is a reduction in noise. I suspect the summer tyres would be better in that respect?

Continental 225/75/R 16 CP (If needed, you can get a 15 rather than a 16 size.)

Had a full set on my van, Bürstner Ixeo running at 3,850. Sorted the pressures as per Continental ride is smoother than before (Michelins) Run at slightly less PSI

Recommend them so far.
