6 speed g/box Citroen /Ducato.

Does anyone know if the 6 speed g/boxes on a Ducato and Citroen Relay (2006 on) are the same /interchangeable ....and is it possible to change without pulling engine out ?

I think the engines are different (Fiat vs Ford) so bell-housing and gearbox will probably be different also

There have been three engines in the citroen/peugeot since 2006.

First a 2.2, the 'Ford' engine to ~2016
Then a 2.0 (approx 2016-2019)
And since 2019, a 2.2

On the Fiat 2.3 multjet (Iveco engine) yes it can taken out without removing the engine, don't know about the others.
