I'm in the process of swapping my 3 way Dometic to a domestic 240v type. I've sold my Dometic which covers all my costs. The new FF is £200, I've bought a new Victron 12/1200 inverter for £184 as that has an eco mode, connected to my 300amp Fogstar. So that takes care of power. I've capped off the gas too.

There are various power leads that powered the previous 3 way, and have pulled the two fuses (ebl and 20 amp by battery) and figured out the 2 heavy cables (red and white) supply from vehicle battery, and there is what looks like 2.5 domestic 3 core cable (brown, blue, green/yellow) and l was wondering if I could use this to power the FF on EHU ? but I would expect there to be more to this though.

Any techies who can help?

BusyBuilder, post a photo of the setup and I'm sure that will get a response

The 3 core is the 240v if you had a victron multiplus and fitted it would be that simple

If your inverter has a pass through facility, then it's simple enough as if the fridge is wired from the inverter, then when on EHU it will 'pass' the mains power through to your fridge, no need for additional wiring etc
Pass through inverters are fed from both 240v and 12v.

When you say as simple as this to save anyone going back on previous threads you might have put explain the complete set up you have as without that detail it’s hard to advise

But does the inverter have earth neutral bonding, if not there's lots of threads advising not to use.

The inverter is a Victron 12/1200, I don't really have the space to install a multiplus plus extra cost involved, has the 12/1200 a pass through I've no idea ?

I have the Victron inverter switch so I can switch it off when I'm not using the van. I can't post any photos as it's not installed yet. But after thinking about this, if I use a EHU, that charges the battery the inverter is connected to, so sort of works.
