The first car park on the left allows you to park overnight for £5.
There are no services.
It was a warm sunny day and the car park was still busy at 19.30, near end of July.
I suggest arriving after 20.00 as bays became more plentiful then.
It is a nice walk down to the Kelpies via a winding path or a more direct path next to the road.
