The Boat Inn, Cromford near Matlock. A local pub that does really good home cooked food. Dogs are welcome, no problem with muddy boots after a hike. Lovely beer garden next to Cromford pond, & just down from Scarthin Books (second hand book store on 5 floors, not to be missed if you like books!).
