Just booked our 1st trip to France in the Motorhome for September, I was trying to get a Physical Camping Carpark Card & have Downloaded the App which apparently gives me the Digital preference, my question is how do I get a Physical Card as that is what I would prefer, it doesn't seem to have anywhere on there to order & pay for one , thanks for any help Chris.

There were threads on this topic earlier in the year. It seems they no longer issue physical cards anymore, whether on line or at the machine.
Entry is done through the app, except for those people who already have a card.

We got our card the first time we used a camping carpark, from the machine at the entrance.
That was many years ago,so hopefully it’s still the same.
No it's not.

Lots of threads about the changes, along with bugs in the earlier version of the app!

I don't think they can stop the card, because we had to buy them originally unless they refund or discount your stay then deactivate it. 😁 Bob.

Thanks for the replies everyone, so all I do is load some cash on the App & that's it ready to Book a Pitch if I'm Lucky 😀 😉 👍
Yes and when you get to the site press the button on the app for the code, enter it in the key pad. And fingers crossed it will open. If it doesn't open then give them a call, they speak English and are usually very helpful.

You can add money to your account for pitch payment on departure. Also buy the Pack Privileges if you want to make advance bookings. Register a credit card on your account for payments.

You don't even need to load your account with cash before you arrive. The barrier will still open if you enter the code from your app as you park outside. You just need to fund the account before leaving a site in order to raise the barrier and leave.

In order to advance book sites you need to pay extra for the privileges pack.

Even without the privileges pack though the app shows availability at each site so you don't waste your time turning up at a site that's full. Be aware though that between 4pm and 7pm a lot of sites quickly fill up so sites that appear to have plenty of availability suddenly don't!

You get it at the machine, asks for your number which you get in the app

If you can fnd other places to stay, then life will be better.

Camping-car park took over one of our favorite stops and since then it has been nothing but trouble getting in or out.

The site is now bigger - all in rows :( and no longer level. :(

I signed up here in Lorca solely for a card but didn't get one. They 'welcomed' me with three different emails.I replied to all asking about a card.
seven weeks later & the third reply said that any time I wished to enter a site to ring & if the machine had any cards they would get it to issue me one. Don't hold out much hope

Currently on a CCP at Mont St Michel. System works well by putting the code in. We have found it easier to pre book our place , sometimes only an hour before arrival which guarantees us a spot.

Like any project with significant change, there seems to have been gremlins, which have been well covered on here. But they seem to have worked hard st addressing them.

I’ve been impressed with how it’s come together now.

I had my own recurring problems using the app on my iPhone a while back, but that has been addressed and having recently returned from 6 weeks n France, I can confirm that the app now works really well.

One site we arrived at (not pre booked) had a machine out of order problem, but the barrier stayed up throughout so no issue.

No card necessary, as the code works well enough.

I’m confident about using them again

Just make sure that you use the latest App update.

Great info thanks, Chris 👍

We're usually our cards at the moment in France Argelles Aire Sur de Soleil. At this Aire
you can use the card to access the Flot Blur machine, but it has a key pad as well so you may be able to use the code you given when you first arrive.Mrs BBF has just said you can get a card issued at most machines when you first use them, they're are instructions on the machine.

I think!!! You need the privileges pack for booking ahead,it cost some €16.00 or so.

You no longer need a physical card, just the code from the app, although the card still works if you already have one. Cards are no longer being dispensed, so for new users it's app only, but that's no hardship.

We're in Brittany at the moment. CCP are not generally our favourite Aires, and they've become more expensive, but are a useful and reliable fallback. Just used the one so far this trip.

I joined this year in May and had no choice but to pay the privileges pack. We have used a few sites this trip and found the app to be very clunky. Trying to change date and time has been a mission! However arriving at the gate and tapping in the number has worked every time. The sites have ranged from really nice to a car park with services.

So your saying they took over a site then got bulldozers in to make the site on a slope?

We've been in France for a month now, used about fourteen CCP aires, mainly Camping Villages (the ones with washing facilities) not booked any, but had access issues with two, which were quickly dealt with, we are card holders.

Brilliant system, if only something like this were available in England.
