Petzen cable car Kärnten card

IMG20240525095240.jpg
A cable car up and down which was free with the Karten card savings 23 euros.
Nice bike ride up to the base and we made an early start with less clouds about. Reckon it was about 10 minutes long in a telecabin and it goes straight but does go up at different angles to about 1800 m.
Toilets at the bottom were of a standard we now expect in Austria, very clean.
This appears to be mountain biking country going by the amount we saw going up and down on various tracks and varying ages. 10 year old kids going down without supervision on some tracks.
Our mission was a hot chocolate and the panorama restaurant outside was our perfect spot. 4.40 euros each was less than we were expecting for a premium view though we were early before lunchtime rush.
Also of note was a church, a playground that had the roll the ball down and obstacle course and a lake. We bought a ball for 2 euros from the c1970 vending machine and will keep that one in Paula's handbag and find out other one from last year as they are just great kiddie fun.
Took our motorbike jackets up there when it was 18c at the bottom but needn't have bothered.
There is a museum in bleiberg but it really didn't interest us (Karten card)
