We will be travelling up from the South West to visit relatives in West London and hoping to stay overnight in our MH outside of London and travel in by bus or train. Could some one suggest where we might stay for a couple of nights?

A bit off the wall, but I suggest Oxford CC&C site. It is next door to the P&R into Oxford and fast coaches called Oxford Tube run every hour into central London, I think there is a stop or two in West London.

Normally, I would agree but Oxford site is having problems at the moment so might not be open.

Roughly where in West London? Wembley is a long way from Kingston for example.

Crystal Palace, or Walton on Thames.Nearest Station Hersham on the line upto Waterloo

London, sorry I’ve no interest in visiting that rat race so cannot help.

Wembley is also a very long way from west London 🤔
Had good friends there for many years and they always said it was West London. I was living in Hayes, West Drayton,, Fulham, and surrounding areas, all of which were considered West London yet are in some cases many miles apart.

But I guess the point I was trying to make is that travelling in can be easy or difficult depending on the target location. It helps knowing the target to offer suggestions.

There are excellent train services in from many places, but being in Paddington isn't a lot of help if you want to get to Sunbury for example.

For Worcester Park the options are Chertsey or Horsley C&CC sites. Neither has a direct train route to Worcester Park but involve changes, probably at Guildford or Woking. Perhaps just over an hour journey time.

If you don’t have a Euro 6 motorhome you need to stay outside the M25. The line from Worcester Park seems to lead out to the Surrey Hills which is prime commuter territory. I would look for a CL or CS near a station in the Surrey Hills.

Horsley C&CC Site (A3 from J10 on M25 and through Ockham on B2039). A few minutes walk to Horsley station with some trains direct to Worcester Park on South Western Railway route around 30 minutes.

Alexandra gardens car park in Windsor allow over night parking for motorhomes, I believe there is a toilet and possibly a tap, it's free between 9pm and 9am but £16.20 for the day (over 5 hours) and a short walk to the train station, it's on search for sites if you need further info.

How about this site
Henfold Lakes
It looks like its a healthy walk/short cycle to Holmwood Station
Which would appear to be on the train line to Worcester Park (Maybe a change at Leatherhead)

Check on the TFL site if you have to pay ULEZ charges, if you have a Euro6 then it's free.

I've stayed at this site, there is a CL and a campsite, the CL is on one side of the lake near a clubhouse and has a bit of a slope, the campsite is the opposite side of the lake, beware of midges at certain times of the year.

what days are you in London for , I take my mh to London 4 times a yr ,always on a Saturday and park up with no trouble in Victoria , weekend parking bizarre rules you can park up free of charge on single yellows . Vincent square , no trouble whatsoever and safe .
