I was going to post where we were going when we got to gravelines, but got a bit sidetracked with the queue at the tunnel.
We are doing our usual tour which is down the east side of France down to menton and venimiglia, we are here for a month or maybe more depending how things go, we want to be in venimiglia by next Wednesday ready for the Friday market which I love, daft I know but there it is, now we are on a CCP at luxeuil Les bains for the night, I know, I know, but we have done the main driving part now, with tolls to get here quickly, now going to do all the emptying and filling at this CCP thing, and now going to slow down and find some free Aires for the next few days.

Have a great trip. Keep us posted

Btw, this CCP is 12 euros, all services including electric free, so I must admit it ain't bad, a lot of Aires are getting there now with charges for water and electric, but still say it won't last as soon as they get the majority of Aires and prices will shoot up, but being selfish it won't affect me, so get it while it lasts.

I loves a market so with you on that one.
For anyone who hasn't been it is reputed to be the biggest market in Europe, I know there are plenty more that say the same but I wouldn't dispute this one, it never fails to amaze my small mind how the old women or young kids or any of the stallholders can all speak numerous languages just going from one to the other in an instant , it must cover 5 acres ,the whole of the town in fact, by the sea, numerous restaurants and cafes, lcan just sit and people watch all day.
love it. (y)

You have done well time wise travelling through France. Post some pics of where you get to if you can (y)
We do use CCP where they are in nice spots , there not bad value .

Yeah I still say they are dear if you don't need services, even on that one we didn't hook up to electric so paying for something we didn't have, if you can't manage without I suppose it is ok .
As we won't need services again for three days , going on one every day is just a waste.
So if we get to venimiglia Sunday we will be on a site that we have been to before, that is dear but it is exactly what we want, they provide a shuttle to menton and the market and also to the station if you want to go further afield and it's on the sea and we will have the services there.
But we will see , maybe won't get there that quick then we will find an Aire that has emptying.
Weather not great at the moment, been showery all the way.

If electric is included I always use it so there's always hot water and the fridge doesn't use any gas.

This is where we are today all on our own

Only if you have the electric option, our last 3 vans had gas only heaters. New van on order having gas only not worth £645 for the electric option.
We did discuss it, my wife asked how long to recover cost, I said at our useage rate of EHU about 20 years.

We have a 12 v compressor fridge that the solar looks after water heater is gas.

For me it would be worth that for the convenience, i'm full time, and can use gas or electric for hot water and heating, if i'm on hook up and just using gas for cooking two 11kg cylinders last months, the last time I filled up was late July and I haven't used one cylinder yet, so no hunting around for lpg at the last minute.
