Guessing your van is a Hymer? Zenec is not Fiat fit to my knowledge. Our new Hymer has the Zenec unit fitted it's a very expensive option as everything Hymer is, if you could give more detail I will try to assist we find the Sat Nav exceptionally good and so easy to use.

Have you put the SD card with the Nav software in the slot in the front? If that's not in place then it won't appear as an option on the screen.

Yep I have the same model. Is the SD card youre using the one supplied with the unit? It should have been in the box Hymer provide with all the manuals and remote control.

The unit will only recognise the original SD - it must have some hidden files that identify it. You can update the software and maps directly on the SD card by using the application from Naviextras website.

As Jenben has said it will only read the supplied micro sd card which came in the box of bits, it will/ would have been in its standard sd card adapter

In the book it says use a usb? which I did for a main system update now done so the main software is up to date so now I will have a go at the card I presume that will be map updates.

I've never updated the unit itself - must give that a go sometime:)
If you use the Naviextras app it will update the Nav software and maps directly onto the SD card.

We have one of these media units in our Burstner. Do carry a map as well. We've learned that even set to a medium sized motorhome it can send you down roads that you wouldn't want to drive on. So we double check with a map.

And your map slot below screen looks to be a standard sd card, mine is a micro and the slot is in top right corner above screen.

@Stewart J I think the e3726 is the latest Zenec unit for the Ducato that Hymer have now moved on to. We've got the same one as @SteveandDenise the e3715.

Steve - If you have downloaded the Naviextras application it should check your SD card to see if there are any updates. There is also an option to repair the installation (I think that's what they called it - i dont have my laptop to hand). I had to use it when my system threw a wobbly after adding a new poi file. Maybe this might work for you??

Thanks Jenben, we took delivery of our B588DL in January and the Zenec was part of a mega expensive media/ triple camera option. I presumed wrongly it seems that the Zenec models were all standard spec on the Hymer range

Yep I think it's very expensive option compared to the alternatives, but ours came as part of the "Experience" package on our Exsis-I 578 so was basically "free" (well compared to the UK price for a basic van - man maths at its best!)

@SteveandDenise I suspect that's probably the best route to get it sorted. It is a great bit of kit, we use it to stream our music using Bluetooth. The later versions even have DAB built in I think.

The only issue is that Hymer wire it up to the van battery rather than the habitation one, so you have to be careful when parked up that you don't end up with a flat battery. I'm going to try to get a copy of the wiring diagram so I can switch the Zenec and the multimedia amp (if necessary) over to the hab battery.

Oh the other thing is that map updates are expensive compared to Garmin. You can hack it and use free maps but haven't bothered while it's still under warranty.

Maybe it's model/ range specific mine switches off with the ignition but there is a changeover rocker switch at side of dashboard (a class) that switches it onto the leisure batteries.

Steve if you're expecting Lowdhams to know what to do with your Sat Nav, I doubt they will know. They don't seem to know a great deal about Hymers full stop IMO.:swear2:

PS Apart from how to charge top dollar for them.

Also bear in mind you get 90 days from first switch on to get your free map updates so if your dealer tested it that counts. I missed it by 1 day and Naviextras told me to take a hike, or pay £100 for updates! So as it's only a secondary Nav unit and I rely on CoPilot I told them to stuff it.

Interesting. Glad to see they've sorted it on the DL. Unfortunately on the Exsis it just lets you switch it on without the ignition, bit it still connects to the van battery:-(
