seen a lot of motorhomes with corks under there windscreen wipers to lift them off the screen when it's hot to protect them when stood up. Had a idea to cover them, so bought two awning padded straps, which slide on the wipers and arms protecting them from the sun. And they are grey to match the mo ho. (y)

Great idea (y)

As I was told the lifting the wipers off the screen for long periods of time can weaken the springs

Good idea, I wonder if the frost protector ones would do the same job as I have a couple of sets of them for the cars?

Similar to these.

I sometimes use the corks to keep the blades free, mainly because on one occasion my blades had become stuck to the screen in dry weather and tore the rubber when I had to use them.

The wipers are not lifted off the screen just covered and resting on the screen, so should not be a problem.
