have you applied the Win 10 update that came out a week or so ago - it's quite a big one! On my wife's laptop the bluetooth settings appeared after this update

Are the drivers installed under device manager?

This post reminded me that I had a file to transfer from my phone to laptop.

Some years ago I bought a Belkin USB dongle that worked fine but then wouldn't work with (I think) this machine when it was under Windows 8/8.1 or the previous one under Windows 7. I solved that by buying a dongle from a pound shop but that eventually stopped working.

I just tried the pound shop dongle again and it didn't work but the used the Belkin one and it did work. It seems to be a matter of ensuring that the correct drivers are installed and then pairing the devices again.

    HI.
Advice please. I can do more than enough for my level of expertise on 7, but keep getting "Upgrade to windows 10". Is it a MUST ? for the future or can i carry on in my comfort zone on 7 ?
Thanks for any help in this matter.

just did a search as i have a Dell laptop ( windows 7 ) and found this: reference to my model of laptop...

Product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade
Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected.

I've upgraded five machines: my HP laptop (Win 8.1 upgraded from Win 8), my Asus Vivobook (Win 8.1 upgraded from Win 8), Jill's HP laptop (Win 8.1), Jill's Asus netbook (Win 7 32 bit), Jill's old Asus laptop, now spare (Win 7 64 bit).
I had a problem with the netbook because one of the Asus programs wasn't compatible but solved that fairly easily (though long winded). Otherwise it's been pretty much plain sailing on all the machines.

It was only the one running Win 7 32 bit, the other two were fine.
I've still got one that runs 3.11 :D

Remember you've only got a month to "wind back" to Windows 7 after "upgrading" to Windows 10 if you want to!
