I'm going to tour France for a month at the end of May and wish to take my Laptop with me to send messages and research the Internet. Have looked at a Dongle from 3 and Orange on a Pay as you go tarif. Any suggestions as to which would be the best for coverage and costs or another supplier would be greatly appreciated.:thumb:

    Hi

For France .. forget the UK providers, the data charges abroad are horrendous

    Options in France

    1) buy an unlocked dongle from fleabay then buy a PAYG sim in France,
    2) use free wifi, Mc Donalds, local libraries, cafe's etc
    3) pay wifi, at most Autoroute services, some camp sites and towns..
    4) cyber cafe's with your own laptop..
    5) Illegal, use an open wifi

Whatever you choose, check that you do not have to pay extra to use it in France.
