Which Sikaflex? (1 Viewer)

Hi...putting a snipe 2 dish on the MH, which Sikaflex do I use please the 552 or the Sikaflex SikaAktivator 205? I think its the 552. Many thanks.

205 isn't an adhesive, it's a surface cleaner that you can use to prepare the surfaces prior to using adhesive. Looks like 552 would be fine for what you want. I used 252 for my solar panel. I believe some people use 221 - there seem to be several suitable alternatives.

I use 291i as it's marine grade so will cope with any outdoor usage

Fitted a snipe 2 today myself actually and popped up the road to the caravan place where they sell solar panels an sats an the usual stuff, was advised that 221 was the best to use for the job, I also used this to stick x2 140W Solar panels plus an Thule awning to our MH

Only used it on the drive at home so far, very easy to fit - like most electrical things on MH the most awkward thing to do is to find a good solution for the cable runs, all finished now though, couple hours work and it works a treat, if you bought yours from Germany you know you get the fixing plate with it too, like many others on here i have not screwed it down, just sikaflex the plate to the roof then bolted the snipe to the plate. where did you get yours from Dafydd ?

I used just 252 to fix my Megasat, (Snipe Pro) on our motorhome, its still there.

Usually on the M25 middle lane

Seriously Tool Station as above, or Screwfix same sort of price for a Sikaflex made general adhesive.
Thanks to adhesive progress, and not wanting to knock Sika But I fear we are now paying way over the odds for the name at 3+ x the price
