We're planning to sell our 1989 (F reg) Hymer 694 soon. Where might be the best place to market it, please? The classifieds here or are there specialised Hymer places - or somewhere else?

    All advice welcome.

Oooh - thanks. This is such a large community / forum, it might be difficult to track down the enquiry. If anyone finds it, can they let me know?

    Where to sell your Hymer

A few years ago we decided to sell our B 544. I put an ad into Autotrders caravan and motorhome section. The phone never stopped ringing, first person bought it. Ad online was around £30, Best of luck.

I sold my last van on Gumtree, (free to advertise) . The first person to see it bought it . I must have had 30 + calls for it. When you sell it just make sure you have the money cleared before you let it go. I took as bankers draft. Good luck ,Steve

I put my Hymer on Preloved and paid an extra £5 for additional pictures. It was bought by a trader from Eire, who told me they are like hens teeth over there.

Hi, thanks for the PM Peter. Yes we are looking at 694,s at the moment, if you would like to email details and pics of yours to johntaylor@orangehome.co.uk that would be great.

As far as advertising it, its not where, its how. Some people take 6 or 8 photos of the outside of their MH, when the buyer wants to see the inside:Eeek:
They miss out important service info, like when its last engine service was, when the cambelt was done, proof of the last hab inspection and if they dont have it why not, its proof that the MH is,nt riddled with damp!
I like to see when it was last used, and to where, also...a reason I believe, as to why its for sale.
Remember you HAVE to sell it, a buyer does not HAVE to buy it, and the higher priced it is, the more comfortable someone may be going to a dealer.
The more questions you see being asked about a MH on ebay, the worse the advert was, a really good advert with all of the relevant info in it, will save you wasting your time with people who do not want to buy your MH.:thumb:
