Can anyone tell me what size spanner I need for Calor lite propane bottles, is it 27mm or 30mm. I haven't got any big enough, and searching for gas spanners shows 25,27, and 30mm last van had under-slung tank now confused, doesn't take much:doh:

Not got the answer, but now have the hand wheel type fitting, brilliant, well worth getting yours changed

But in the days when we used a spanner thought there was only one size, or a large pair of grips which I often used when proper spanner lost o_O:confused:

Our very first van had the hand wheel type, and I agree much easier, I will change it eventually.

They do have a 'sell by date' marked on the pigtail. If it's expired now's your chance. Our old one had a 5 year expiry but now I've replaced it with a steel one with 25 years on it. And the handwheel, of course.

Tried an adjustable, but the space is too restricted because of the handles on the calor lite cylinders.
