i want 300 mins anytime and network at least, not bothered about text, like the idea of smartphone is 1 gb enough?

I want 3 contract for skype facility and my mates are on 3 as well.

What you feeling on phone?

I like the idea of GPS as well and want yahoo mail.

I went to the 3 shop for the same as you are considering came away with:

The portal is "old" technology using an old version of Android, and I didnt like the feel of it. The LG uses the latest version of Android (2.2) and sits in the hand nicely. Although I do find the keyboard a bit small for fat fingers.

I'm only just getting to grips with the phone and capabilities so cant really comment on whether 1gb is enough it will depend on your use. Certainly I'm not using anywhere near that amount. There are plenty of Apps available and email is easy to set up. Although you do need to set up a google mail account to be able to send from the phone. You can of course download messages from any mail provider.

I havent tried the stanav facility yet so I don't know how data hungry it will be using the maps over the network.

if you can obtain a cheap compatable smart phone or
buy it payg then put contract sim in it

there is sim only contracts available
