Mild evening in Bristle. After a good meal went into the harbour too watch the fireworks. Not many this year. There used to be a big display, now just a few private ones. Started to drizzle. Looks like rain for the rest of today (Sunday).

That sounds like my idea of hell- especially after the year we have had personally and globally. Just back from fab night at neighbours- food drink charades loads of lovely people. no idea why anyone thinks j holland a good way to ring in a new year- maybe so people think anything is better than that? Apologies to his fan xx

Happy new year to you, when do the planes start flying again ?

And happy new year to you also.
They were flying all night, just fewer than normal. Weekend night shifts would are fairly quiet anyway, this was just a particularly quiet one.

I was in bed, lulled asleep by radio 4. Vaguely heard some fireworks which I assume was midnight, but luckily my dogs aren't bothered by them so we all slept through.

We spent last night sitting about a metre away from the waves lapping at our feet on dry sand watching t h e fireworks on the beach in Benidorm. Crazy, great party on the prom, everyone dancing and enjoying themselves. I'm amazed how many families get out with prams and toddlers, no troubles anywhere, not like a town in England. Brilliant night, so glad we made the effort to travel down.

We were in Lagos bringing the New Year in at the marina with live music, fireworks and the lovely Portuguese people. A fabulous fun filled celebration.

Our thoughts exactly! He used to be so good, with good guests on but now he's gone all weird and trendy.:LOL:
